North Wadsworth Boulevard Strategic Plan
In 1997, the City of Lakewood adopted the Wadsworth Boulevard Strategic Plan as an amendment to the City’s Comprehensive Plan. The Strategic Plan, which focused on Wadsworth Boulevard north of Mississippi Avenue, is similar to Strategic Plans the City has adopted for other major arterials in the City, including Sheridan Boulevard, North Kipling, and Mississippi Avenue. It has now been a decade since the Wadsworth Plan was adopted, and the City is revisiting the Plan to address changing conditions along the Corridor and to look at the Corridor south of Mississippi Avenue.
The City has convened an Advisory Committee of Council and Planning Commission members, representatives from neighboring jurisdictions, business owners, property owners, developers, neighborhood representatives, and interested citizens who will work with City Staff to develop the plan.
